About Dr. Solomon
Paula Solomon, phd
Paula Solomon received her Ph.D. from Pacific Graduate School in Palo Alto, Ca. Before pursuing her childhood passion for psychology she worked as a camp counselor, lifeguard, swim instructor, telephone system operator, market researcher, cafeteria monitor, juggler, house parent, and recreational therapist. She has worked with emotionally disturbed adolescents for over 35 years. She was the Clinical Director of a Residential Treatment Center for disturbed and abused teens for the past 25 years. She also taught Psychological Assessment to psychology Doctoral Candidates at the Institute of Imaginal Studies for ten years and was a long-term consultant to Multiplicity Therapeutic Services, an agency that provides behavioral services to regional center clients. While specializing in teens, Dr. Solomon has also worked with school aged children chronically mentally ill adults, and acute care adult psychiatric clients.
She has trained many therapy and psychologist interns and still provides supervision to those seeking to expand their knowledge of psychological assessment.
She has been an expert witness at Fair Hearings for educational services and at child dependency hearings, and she consults with families who have “high profile” or difficult children and the attorneys who represent them.
Her current private practice consists of psychological assessment, consultation, and training.
